A little about me…

Obviously, I’m an ODU art student. Art ed. major actually, minoring in psychology and Japanese language (yay for Ishibashi-sensei!). I’ve been at ODU since the spring of 2006, and I’ll be graduating in May, 2010 after my student teaching. For as long as I’ve been able to hold a writing instrument in my hand, I’ve been drawing. I picked up graphic design back when I was in high school (maybe 1998-1999), and although that was my first love (and major, and degree) I decided the market was just too swamped and I decided to go back to school to teach. I’ve worked as a freelance for the last 5-6 years.

I live in Ocean View, part of Norfolk in the Hampton Roads area of Virginia. It’s close to the beach, what can I say? I’ve got four roommates: two bunnies (a ruby-eyed white and a gray lop), my cat Mac (twitter | flickr), and my other half, Brent. After graduation I’m thinking of either 1) completing requirements to teach English (as ESL) and art in Japan (I recently passed JLPT Level 3), or 2) heading back down to Florida to teach at the school district both my grandmum and aunt worked for (my aunt teaches higher level high school math, and my grandmum was their office coordinator).

My extra-curricular activities include napping, designing, and gaming. This will be my 5th year playing Final Fantasy XI, and although I started on the Cait Sith server, I moved to Garuda during the first migration, was a member of Divertissant for around 2 years, and as of January, 2008 I’m a member of the Apathy linkshell on the Remora server. I love the Final Fantasy series, and I learned a lot of Japanese from playing the games, but my favorites are the Final Fantasy Tactics games. I am currently playing Final Fantasy Tactics A2.
